Move-a-thon Event Details & Volunteer Call

The big day is fast approaching: Move-a-thon day is Friday, September 22nd!

New This Year: Check Out Our Dance Moves! Students have been working hard the first month of school on a fun warm-up dance routine to perform at the Move-a-thon! Families are invited to attend to watch this first dance performance of the year, and to cheer on our students as they dance, walk, run, sing, and MOVE at our spirited event! Please remember to bring your ID and check in through the office before proceeding to the track. Families may bring signs, flags, and/or noisemakers to cheer on their students (we’ll have some cheering items, too!). We’ll also accept pledge donations.

Move-a-thon Schedule:

7:50-8:35     2nd

9:00-9:45     Kinder 

10:00-10:45     1st

11:45-12:30    5th

1:20-2:05   3rd

2:10-2:55     4th

Help your student be prepared: Students should dress in PE clothes and tennis shoes on Move-a-thon day. The event takes place outside and runs 45 minutes per class, so please have your child dress appropriately for the weather conditions, and BRING A FILLED WATER BOTTLE.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! If you are able to attend the Move-a-thon, we could use your help as a volunteer either with your child’s class or for another grade. It only takes an hour, you will still be able to see your child participate, and you will be helping to ensure that all students have a fun and safe experience. We’ll even give you a popsicle! There are also set-up and clean-up shifts before and after school.
