President: Matt Bucher
It’s an honor for me to serve as President of the board this year. I believe that Wells Branch is one of the best schools in the world and I absolutely love the teachers and staff who make it great. From 2017-2020, I was Parliamentarian of the PTA and I coordinated the WatchDOGS program at WBE from 2014 to 2017. My wife Jordan and I have lived in Wells Branch since 2006 and we have one son (a WBE alum) at Deerpark and one son in the 4th grade dual language program at WBE this year. I work in content marketing for a finance company, producing podcasts. I also serve on the board of an academic literary society and volunteer with Junior Achievement.
Vice President: Walter Bell
I am new and delighted to be serving on the WBE PTA as the Vice President. I have a daughter in 3rd grade and another in Kindergarten. This is our 9th year in Wells Branch and we love getting out and about in “The Branch.” 2020 has been a little tough, but 2021 will bring us all back together again.
Secretary: Aaron Shaw
It’s my 3rd year serving on the WBE PTA board, and I look forward to hearing from you! Previously, I served as VP for two years. My wife Nelly and I live in Wells Branch with our three kids: a 3rd and 4th grader in the dual language program at WBE and a 6th grader (WBE alum) at Deerpark Middle School. I lead strategy and planning for a global technical presales organization, have served on several other non-profit boards, and enjoy time with my family, a good meme or game of cornhole.
Treasurer: Lori Alvarado
I am new to the WBE PTA Board this year serving as Treasurer. I am excited to be part of this wonderful organization. I have a second grader at WBE and have lived in the Century Park neighborhood for over 10 years. We enjoy spending time outside with the neighborhood kids and exploring parks and watering holes around town.
Parliamentarian: Jane Ross
I am delighted and honored to serve as Parliamentarian of the board this year. Formerly, I served as Secretary of the PTA. My husband and I have a son at Deerpark and a daughter at WBE. I work in education, and our family enjoys engaging in outdoor activities.
Historian: Dan Huff
I’m also a WBE PTA board veteran, having served as Treasurer from 2018-2020. I love our elementary school for its commitment to harnessing the Arts to enhance and enrich education! My wife Erica and I live in Century Park with our two cats and our two daughters: a WBE-alumnus Deerpark 6th grader and a WBE 3rd grader. Fueled by coffee, I work as an engineering scientist, love music, and still root for the San Antonio Spurs.
