PUBLIC HEARINGS SCHEDULED FOR SCHOOL ATTENDANCE ZONE ADJUSTMENT
Round Rock ISD is committed to maintaining the highest level of student achievement and quality instruction.
One of the realities we face living in a growing district is that, at times, our schools become crowded and we need to address these crowded conditions with boundary adjustments. With the bond passage of 2014, Round Rock ISD will open Elementary School #34 in the Wells Branch neighborhood in August 2016, which will require boundaries to be redrawn. The Wells Branch area includes Wells Branch Elementary and Bluebonnet Elementary.
A school attendance zone adjustment will be presented to the public at a series of boundary hearings in accordance with Board Policy FC (Local). Hearings are currently scheduled as follows:
November 5, 2015 6:30PM Bluebonnet Elementary
November 10, 2015 7:30PM Wells Branch Elementary (public hearing will start after the PTA general meeting)
Public input is also welcomed at the November 19, 2015 regular board meeting where the board will discuss feedback from these hearings. A final recommendation is expected to be presented to the Board of Trustees at a regular board meeting on December 17, 2015 for approval of the boundary changes.
