What’s a Move-a-thon?
Each fall the Wells Branch Elementary PTA raises money for all those “extras” that make WBE AIA extraordinary: field trips, technology, arts and science materials, special learning assemblies, fun family events, and so much more. The Move-a-thon is our big fall fundraiser. It is a donation drive where students can earn fun individual and class incentives and win great prizes for gathering donations to support our school. The drive culminates in a school-wide spirit event during school hours where every child gets to participate, regardless of donations.
PTA made the decision to move away from traditional sales-based fundraisers in 2015 in order to make our fall fundraiser easier for families, healthy, fun and memorable for students, better for the environment and more profitable for our school.
The fall fundraiser has been successful year after year because of dedicated volunteers from our school community. If you have ideas for improving this event or would like more information about becoming involved in Move-a-thon, please contact the program chair at fallfundraiser@wellsbranchpta.
