Move-a-thon raises over $8500 in donations!

We want to thank EVERYONE who gathered pledges/donated to our fall fundraiser this year! Together we raised $7285.00 online and $1,296.49 in cash/checks for a total of $8,581.49 in gross donations. We had $2,577.45 in expenses for net proceeds of $6,004.04! In addition to funding this year’s field trips, teaching materials, technology, fun family events and other needs, we will also make a $600 donation to hurricane-impacted Texas ISD’s as approved by our PTA membership at the September meeting.

Running our fundraiser is a big undertaking, and it wouldn’t be possible without the help of many people including volunteers, school staff and community sponsors. Please take a moment to appreciate our amazing team for their help in making the 2017 Move-a-thon fundraiser a success!

Event Day Staff: Kelly Coad (Set-up/Tear-down, All-Day Event Spirit), Kathy Sanjar (covering dance classes), Jaime Castillo (Sound), and a BIG shout-out to our new dance teacher Jme Washburn, who, in her first year at WBE inherited the job of teaching 409 kids a dance to perform within 4 weeks! That’s under 2 hours of class time – and they ROCKED it! Thank you so much Ms. Washburn!
