Safe and Secure Entrance

Wells Branch Elementary is committed to maintaining the highest security on campus for the safety of our students, which is greatly enhanced by our safe and secure entrance. Please note that the front entrance will be the only adult/visitor entrance to the school 7:20 am to 4:15 pm daily and will admit visitors directly to the front office.

All parents and visitors entering the building must show a government-issued photo identification and sign in at the front office through our RAPTOR system, then wear a visitor’s badge at all times. We strongly encourage you to say good-bye to your students outside the doors (and before the student lines) to begin school and allow them to walk independently into the building, so that hundreds of parents are not attempting to sign in through the office during morning arrival. Please take time on Back to School Night to have your child practice walking independently to their classroom. All campus personnel will be available during morning arrival to assist students through the hallways. We thank you all for supporting us in creating a safe and secure learning environment for our students.

For parents of new and pre-k/kinder students or those needing to escort students to class, if you know you are planning to enter the building during morning drop-off on August 25th, please take time at Back to School Night on August 20th to check in through the office to pre-scan for your visitor badge. You may take your badge with you to wear on Tuesday or these badges will be available at the Pre-Scanned Visitors table on the front porch on August 25th only to allow those visitors to enter with students through the student line and by-pass the office.
