PTA Go Green Team

We invite you to become part of our growing community of volunteers on the Go Green Team at Wells Branch Elementary. Together we are making our school more eco-friendly, safer, healthier and raising children who are aware of their connection to the environment. We are working towards making Wells Branch Elementary a nationally recognized Green Ribbon School. The main programs that we have are: garden classes with students during school day, 5th grade Farmer’s Market project, zero waste initiatives, general garden maintenance, nutrition and using non-toxic products at school. We need volunteers for all of our exceptional programs, but especially for the garden classes so we can offer the classes to as many students and teachers as possible. Please contact us at: gogreen@wellsbranchpta.org. If you want to see our past experience, please visit our website at: gogreen.wellsbranchpta.org. Thank you!!

Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students)

Watch D.O.G.S. is an innovative program of the National Center of Fathering focusing on prevention of violence in our nation’s schools by using the positive influence of fathers and father-figures for a two-fold purpose:

1) to provide an unobtrusive presence in the schools, and

2) to be a positive and active role-model for

students at their school.
